White Screen/Flashing Red Light/Power Cycle

Just recently my wifes 8310 is having a issue ...
The device white screens for about 30 secs or so and the red light will flash. When the backlight goes out then the red light will stay solid for about ten secs the it restarts--it repeats again.
Running .37 an official download ...
I am open to any fixes/solutions ...
Can this be corrected?

has been happening since last night--will not stop
Pulled battery several times
also tried reinstalling OS but it would not complete the process--used the dead/nuked formula

To reinstall the OS you will have to take the battery out, and then hook it up to the computer. id you try that? Good luck with everything man, sounds like it isnt any fun at all. Check your PM, I thought you said 8100, my bad.

yes, I did take the battery out and the install will only get so far...
