Well, I updated it. I haven't noticed any significant differences from .42 to .44 -- but i haven't had any opportunities to receive voicemail yet. anyone know for sure if the notifier is working again?

Voicemail indicator does not work.

On 4.5.0.42 the voicemail indicator would display with the first voicemail left after a fresh install and stay display permanently, never warning of new voicemails.

On 4.5.0.44 the voicemail indicator is not displayed ever.  I've tried it several times.

I don't understand why a carrier would release this with such a major bug still present. furious

Memory leak is not that bad and has never really been.
Memory 2 mins ago (2 days after install) ~ 3.2MB
Memory after just pulling the battery ~ 8.9MB

The browser cursor does work.  I haven't noticed any problems over the last 3 days with any of the programs I regularly use (Google maps 2.2.0, BeeJive(JiveTalk) 1.0.7 beta, gWhiz 0.6, Documents To Go 1.002.016, Opera Mini 4.1, Viigo 3.0 beta, Blackberry Messenger, Epocrates Rx 1.43.0)

I am always looking for new official OS's to be released.  If I find one,  I will post.  I found many .52 today but no newer released for the the 8800.

I have to imagine an official .52 download will pop up from some carrier in a few days. I've been checking carrier OS download pages the last couple of days with no sign yet.

Also, I downloaded the new free BlueRoom L theme today from www.blueroomsolution.com and it doesn't work too well on my 8800. I found two major issues with it and one minor issue.

Major issue #1 - There are blank spots for icons that I can't fill
Major issue #2 - It won't allow me to change the icons that do show up

Minor issue - The Icons on the left side require up or down movement of the trackball to navigate, like the L theme that comes with OS 4.5, however the bottom icons require up or down movement of the trackball to navigate as well. The L theme that comes with 4.5 requires left or right movement of the trackball to navigate and this is makes much more sense.
